Living On Campus

Live Where You Learn

Students that live on campus at Grand Valley get better grades and are more likely to graduate than those who don’t. We make living on campus easy with a variety of housing options that grow with you throughout your college career. With some of the newest living centers in the state in Allendale and downtown Grand Rapids, there is no better way to experience the Laker Effect than by living on campus.

  • Convenient access to classes, on-campus employment, the rec center, and academic and support resources.
  • A variety of healthy and delicious dining options, including the all-you-care-to-eat Fresh Food Co.
  • Six living-learning communities focused on a specific theme, major, or area of interest meant to provide a rich living-learning experience that extends outside of the classroom.

The thing that I like most about Grand Valley housing is how inclusive it is.

Something that's really cool is the sense of community you feel living on campus.

And it's just nice to have that experience of learning about different people and their different kind of culture.

So Grand Valley housing has a lot of different options. They have traditional style, suite style, apartment style, cluster style, and on-campus apartments.

Living on campus is also really exciting and fun because you're right next to the dining halls.

It's nice about campus dining because they're so like, helpful and willing to listen to their students and what they want. And they have so many options already.

The on-campus resources are extensive. They are well planned out, and they are 100% for students.

The biggest thing about getting involved in Grand Valley housing is the sense of community that I don't think you get anywhere else. It's a great way to meet people and connect, and be a part of something bigger than yourself.
