I'm very outgoing, energetic. I call on students. We do a lot of discussion. Some lecturing and we show videos, but mainly it's just trying to have fun and help them learn.
I like the smaller classrooms because it allows me to interact with students more. And with smaller classrooms, I'm able to see my students off campus and talk to them a lot too.
I like teaching my sports history classes. I love talking about sports, and a lot of students like talking about sports, but through that then we could talk about race and diversity and gender and new sports, so we have a lot of great conversations. I think they like the energy and they like that I'm passionate.
Some people call me a "corny" type of person, but I do it purposeful. But I think they like that. It makes them feel comfortable learning like difficult subjects.
