- Grand Valley’s efforts to reduce waste generated by fans at home football games received national recognition from the National Wildlife Federation.
- For the 14th consecutive year, Grand Valley has been included in the Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges.
- Grand Valley State University was rated a top performer on the 2022 Sustainable Campus Index, earning gold status from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Grand Valley finished second among master's institutions, the same ranking as 2021.
